The federal authorities wasted thousands and thousands on transgender animal checks and over $100,000 on lab experiments on beagles in China, in response to a brand new report demanding reforms to carry federal companies accountable to taxpayers.
Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., launched his ninth annual “Federal Fumbles” report earlier this month, which he says “reveals billions of dollars lost to wasteful spending, inefficiencies, fraud, and improper payments.”
“It’s Federal Fumbles season again. My ninth edition takes a hard look at the spending and inefficiencies that leave taxpayers wondering what Washington is doing with their money and why government is not serving them,” Lankford stated in an announcement.
“From analysis tasks that elevate eyebrows to {dollars} despatched abroad with little oversight to fraud in meals packages to shutdowns that value billions, the sample is similar. Too usually, the federal authorities just isn’t accountable to the folks.”
