Prize-winning Hungarian organist Sándor Balatoni and acclaimed Hungarian-American violinist Philip Ficsor will current a live performance April 7 at 4 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, H and fifteenth streets, Eureka.
Christ Church, identified for its excellent pipe organ (constructed and put in by Kegg Pipe Organ Builders in 2008), continues its custom of bringing nationally and internationally identified live performance artists to Eureka.
Balatoni accomplished doctoral research on the College of Pécs and the Eastman Faculty of Music. He received first prize on the Zsámbék Nationwide Organ Competitors in 2004 and particular prize on the seventh and eighth Nationwide Organ Competitors at Salgótarján in 2004 and 2007.
