The Rev. Robert Langston Thompson, 92, of Tifton handed away Wednesday, Could 1, 2024, at Maple Courtroom in Tifton. Born August 29, 1931, in Kathwood, South Carolina, the Rev. Thompson was the son of the late Boyd Lee Thompson and Anna Kate Warr Thompson. Earlier than retiring, he was a minister and pastored Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kelltown for a number of years. Thompson is survived by his spouse, Betty Sue Smith Thompson of Tifton; one son and daughters-in-law, Bryan Timothy and Barbara Thompson of Oglethorpe; one daughter and son-in-law Bethany and Martin Mahon of Wake Forest, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson and his spouse, Renee of Leesburg, Brandon Thompson of Atlanta and Walker Holloway of Wake Forest, North Carolina; and 4 great-grandchildren, Madelyn Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Wesley Thompson and Abigail Thompson.
