BLISSFIELD — Tom Krause and Dee Dee Tibbits will carry out a live performance at 4 p.m. Sunday, Might 26, at Blissfield Emmanuel Church, 215 E. Jefferson St.
Krause was raised in Riga and now lives in Caro in Michigan’s Thumb. Dee Dee Tibbits additionally lives in Caro. Between the 2 of them, an announcement stated, they’ve carried out at such venues as Fischer Corridor in Frankenmuth, the Interlochen Immersive Dulcimer Gathering, Gateway Music Pageant in St. Louis and the Port Austin Farmers Market.
“We have been playing together for almost 20 years. How time flies when you’re having fun,” Krause said in the announcement.
Both musicians are multi-instrumentalists bringing the guitar, bass, bouzouki, hammered dulcimer, Irish whistles and other “delightful and unusual” antique instruments to their performances.
Melodica and vocals make the duo very entertaining, the announcement said.

“Both Tom and Dee Dee have traveled with different groups including Tom with The Calvarymen and Dee Dee with Living Truth, and both are part of Sonas, a Celtic trio. There’s a lot of musical experience between these two,” the announcement said.

Sunday’s concert at Blissfield Emmanuel Church is open to the public, and a freewill offering will be collected. An ice cream social will follow.
