The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has introduced a brand new voice for “Music & the Spoken Word” with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Sq. — changing Lloyd Newell, who has served in that place for the previous 34 years.
Derrick Porter, 42, of Bountiful, Utah, has been named the brand new government producer, principal author and presenter of “Music & the Spoken Word,” in keeping with a launch posted on Churchofjesuschrist.org.
