Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has invited the just lately exonerated Dr. Eithan Haim to attend President Donald Trump’s deal with to a joint session of Congress in March as a visitor of honor.
Haim, 34, advised The Christian Put up he acquired the invitation earlier this week after Hawley spoke to him on the telephone Sunday.
The invite, which Hawley’s workplace confirmed to CP, got here days after a federal choose dismissed the case towards the whistleblowing Texas surgeon, whose state of affairs prompted Hawley to personally intervene with the Trump administration on his behalf final Friday.
Haim mentioned he “100 percent” plans to attend the president’s speech within the U.S. Capitol on March 4, and that he feels vindicated after practically two years of draining battles towards a gender ideology he believes is starting to crumble.
“The whole thing was crazy to begin with,” Haim advised CP of the case towards him. “It should have never even been brought.”
Haim mentioned he had no regrets, regardless of having probably confronted a decade in jail and as much as $250,000 in fines for leaking paperwork to journalist Christopher F. Rufo in 2023. The paperwork confirmed Texas Kids’s Hospital (TCH) was persevering with to carry out so-called “gender-affirming services” on minors regardless of telling the general public it had paused such procedures, in line with Metropolis Journal.
“Not for a minute has the thought even entered my mind of anything resembling the sensation or emotion of regret,” Haim mentioned, including that such an angle additionally appears to prevail in different people who have been unfairly prosecuted underneath the Biden administration.
“I think you see that in a lot of the people who have been persecuted by the Biden regime,” he said. “You have people who did the right thing or were falsely persecuted, but they have this spirit about them that is kind of surprising, given everything they’ve been through. And I think that spirit comes from the knowledge of unjust persecution.”
“In my situation, I know I did the right thing,” he continued. “There’s no question about that. They were mutilating and sterilizing children, and not only that, but they were lying about it. So, as a doctor, my responsibility is to do something about that, and I did.”
Within 24 hours of Rufo’s story breaking in May 2023, the Texas state Legislature passed SB-14, which rendered such procedures for minors illegal in the state effective Sept. 1 of that year.
The internal documents Haim leaked had redacted personally identifiable patient information, but the U.S. Department of Justice slapped him with four felony counts last June after he “obtained personal information including patient names, treatment codes and the attending physician from Texas Children’s Hospital’s electronic system without authorization,” according to a DOJ press release.
A month after Haim’s leak and before he had gone public with his identity, two agents with Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General showed up on his porch in Houston on June 23, the day of his residency graduation.
He told CP he believes the federal government knew of his identity immediately after he leaked the TCH documents, but laid in wait to humiliate him and ruin one of the most important days of his life.
“They could have come any day because they knew who I was immediately, but they chose that day specifically,” he mentioned.
Haim finally went public together with his identification and made the rounds with main conservative media figures, however the case continued to hover over him and he confronted a trial on Feb. 10 till Hawley advised Trump’s DOJ to intervene final week.
Days earlier than, Eithan and his spouse Andrea — who serves as an assistant U.S. legal professional for the Northern District of Texas — went viral on X for his or her prolonged statements accusing the DOJ of defying Trump’s govt order ending the political weaponization of the federal authorities.
Haim advised CP that others have been concerned in his case being thrown out, however credited Hawley with enjoying a serious position. “It was the fruits of a whole lot of transferring components, however a giant a part of that was Josh Hawley, that is for certain,” he said.
Less than two hours after Hawley tweeted about discussing his case with the Trump administration last Friday, the case had been dismissed.

Along with directing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to “take all acceptable actions to finish the chemical and surgical mutilation of kids,” Trump’s order also mandates the agency to “problem new steering defending whistleblowers” who report the performance of gender transition procedures on minors.
“None of this was ever based on anything good or anything real,” Haim said of such procedures. “And now that more people are accepting that fact, this is going to become criminalized in the way it always should have been criminalized, both for adults and children.”
Hawley urged Congress on Friday to pass legislation he introduced Wednesday that would “give the kid victims of transgender surgical procedures and coverings the precise to sue these medical doctors and pharma corporations who profited off them.”
Despite what he has been through, Haim remains humble, describing Hawley’s invitation as “a huge, huge honor that I am not worthy of.”
“Because it’s a big deal, you know?” he said when asked why he feels unworthy to attend. “And for me, I feel like I’m just a regular dude.”
